What Is Mobile Wound Care?

Mobile wound care means a specialized wound care provider travels to your home or facility
with the same level of expertise and advanced dressings you would expect from a hospital-
based wound center[1][3]. Instead of you going to the wound clinic, the wound clinic comes to
your bedside.
During a typical visit, your provider will:
• Examine and measure your wound
• Check circulation and overall skin health
• Look for early signs of infection
• Clean and, when needed, debride the wound (remove dead tissue)
• Apply advanced dressings designed to help your wound heal faster
• Teach you and your caregiver how to protect the area between visits[2][3][4]
This model is especially powerful for patients with diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers,
pressure injuries (bedsores), and other chronic wounds that require consistent, specialized
care[1][3][4].
